The visit came up amid his working trip to Grodno Region.
The itinerary of the Head of the Government included some key industrial facilities, among them Ammonium and Urea Plants. Roman Aleksandrovich also was acquainted with the operation of the Air Separation Unit of Methanol Plant, which is one of the successfully completed projects of the capacity development and renewal programme. Another visiting point was the Cylinders Filling Station for Gaseous Technical Oxygen that comply with medical parameters. Liquid and gaseous oxygen production in the Methanol Plant bears significant social implication when it comes to meeting the needs of medical institutions in the Grodno region.
The General Director Igor' Lyashenko gave his report on the results of financial and economic activities, development prospects and the progress of investment projects of JSC “Grodno Azot” at the working session, which was attended by the Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee Vladimir Karanik, the Chairman of the Grodno City Council Mechyslau Hoi, as well as the Head of concern “Belneftekhim” Andrej Rybakov.
Strategic objective in the construction of the new Nitrogen Complex and modernisation of existing facilities is to increase the production of mineral fertilisers, which have a stable consumer demand on foreign and domestic markets.
